The Columbia Racquet Club was founded in 2015 on the grounds of the former Sloan School, a small private school located just eight minutes from downtown Columbia, SC that closed its doors in 2012.
Roughly 100 miles from both Charleston and the Greenville/Spartanburg area, Columbia is the State Capital and home to the University of South Carolina and Fort Jackson.
The Club currently offers one singles squash court, one badminton court, and one pickleball court — all housed inside the Sloan School’s former gymnasium, along with men’s and women’s locker rooms and showers and a small kitchen, bar, and lounge area.
In December 2022, the Club also added an outdoor padel court, which was the first in the state of South Carolina and gets regular play year round.
